About Us
We are an education and research not-for-profit organisation aimed at providing and promoting projects, tuition and courses for children and young people so they have better chances for success in education and life in general. We run special workshops for parents too.
The Roger Diamond Foundation (RDF) is administered by volunteers, who have decades of experience providing innovative services for children, parents and young people. We believe in working 'together' with partner individuals and organisations to make an impactful difference.
Currently (in 2024) with no funding, we provide volunteer services in some of West London's most deprived communities. We also endeavour to keep up-to-date with relevant research, data, news and facts. We try to use high quality educational solutions and materials to help provide extramural classes and tuition for children so they can better achieve optimal success.
Board of Trustees - Our board of eight trustees meet about every 6 to 8 weeks.
We believe in social mobility and the pursuit of excellence. Our Founders, Trustees, Consultants and Volunteers include experts in relevant fields as well as people who live, work or grew up in our target communities; as such they are well placed to understand those communities.
We're continually consulting parents/guardians, parenting experts, research organisations, educationalists, community workers, universities, etcetera. We are always researching deeper and deeper into the core reasons for the disproportionate percentage of children ending up (for example) in Pupil Referral Units, the Criminal Justice System (CJS), or just not likely to be socially mobile or entering higher education. We're interested in the best solutions to reduce this. We are also concerned with other worrying social issues occurring in the United Kingdom's most vulnerable communities.
